Meditation meeting at the UK Centre
The founder of The Kriya Yoga Centre is Richard Fish, a practitioner of Kriya Yoga affiliated to the Center For Spiritual Awareness (CSA). Richard was ordained as a Minister and Kriya Yoga Teacher by his guru Roy Eugene Davis in the Summer of 2000 at the CSA headquarters in north-east Georgia, USA. Richard has been associated with this spiritual path for over 25 years, becoming a disciple of Roy Eugene Davis in 1996 . Events Two day Kriya Meditation Seminars are usually held on the first weekend in June and September of each year. All of our events are offered on a donation basis. Meditation Services are held on the first and third Sundays of each month from 10.30am to 12 Noon. In addition we hold a special Christmas Meditation and services to commemorate the birth and mahasamadhi (passing) of Paramahansa Yogananda. June 09 Kriya Yoga Seminar Kriya Yoga Weekend Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th September At The Kriya Yoga Centre, Poplar Farm, Burtle Saturday 10.30 to 4.00. Sunday 10.30 to 3.30 pm The Philosophy and Practice of Kriya Yoga Preparation and Initiation (Kriya Initiation will be offered to suitably prepared applicants) Saturday: The Art and Science of Self- and God-Realization. Review of Mantra and Cosmic Sound meditation practices. Pranayama: exploring the relationship between breath, mind and energy. Achieving a balance between you spiritual practices and daily life. Sunday: Deepening your Kriya experience. We will be exploring methods and practices which will contribute towards taking your Kriya experience to the next level. A not-to be-missed opportunity. Also included: video presentation, refreshments and shared vegetarian meals.
An copy of the booklet "An Easy Guide to Meditation" is available by sending an SAE to the UK Kriya Yoga Centre. A package of free introductory literature is available from the Center for Spiritual Awareness in Georgia USA (www. csa-davis.org). For anyone interested in pursuing Kriya Yoga, meditation or other related spiritual practices Richard also offers his 35 years of experience as a Vedic Astrologer. Consultations are given in person rather than through the post. The focus of a reading is on greater self-understanding rather than on predictive astrology. A special Kriya Yoga Preparation Course is available for anyone seeking to be initiated into Kriya Yoga or desiring to learn more about the basic meditation techniques and life-style best suited for would be Kriya Yoga practitioners. It contains guidance and tuition in essential meditation practices, discipleship, philosophical and practical information on spiritual living, as well as background information on Kriya Yoga. It is offered freely in the form of monthly emailed lessons to anyone requesting it.
